Sounds good. They even specifically mention it is "chroma bug free". Audio delay on it too. Be interesting to see UK prices and whether it is PAL progressive out the box over here.

    Looking forward to this one.

If they get this ONE wrong nothing will save Denon people like myself have given denon slack on their past models if they don't learn from past mistakes they will never regain support on mass

Has anybody got a release date for this player yet? It's just been released in the USA.

I've searched the various online shops but nobody is listing it yet.

Audio delay is stated as 0-15ms surely this isn't going to be enough with the delay being upto 100ms into a plasma?

Does the 2900 really only have one Scart Socket? What happens if your TV only has one RGB Scart (no component) and I want to get my Sky digi box looped through my DVD player.

Seems like a basic requirement to me. Am I missing something here?

I really want to upgrade to a Universal Player and the Denon looks good on screen but the Scart issue may deflect me to the Pioneer.

Providing this player is going to be bug free I might acrually consider upgrading to one. (Currently have a Denon DVD 2000, 1st generation).

I wonder if you can get an SDI mod for it?...

That's the delay time for DVD Audio, not a Master Audio Delay for Lip-Sync. Hopefully the player will sort out the audio delay itself for progressive scan or have the option to enable this like the Arcam DV27.

AV-LAND says that it is "PAL progressive ready" weather or not this means PAL P out of the box or not is something we'll probably have to wait and see... I'd say that most places selling it at least would be able to mod it for you with no problems if it is not...
