denon 2805 12v trigger help please

Standard Member
I have purchased some Kef speakers which are powered off a 12v trigger which is great but I dont have a clue how to physicaly set this up.

The manual tells me how to activate the 12v trigger but not how to wire so I am stuck.

I know I need two connections to the KEFS whic are labeled 12v and 0v, bot these are wired and the ends down at the amp via a cat 5 cable.

So i have two wires 12v and 0v and a jack (stereo) which i think is correct but dont know what to do now. The jack is 3.5mm and has three places I can solder to.

so what do i do? solder the 12v to on and the 0v to the other then plug into the amp? Does it make any difference where I solder, do i have the right type of plug?

irritating becase so close but cant complete the job and no one seems to know the one bit regarding the jack so please help.
