    Hi All,

Before I throw this unit into a dealer for them to have a look ( and relieve me of £30 for the pleasure! ) is there anything I can try for the following fault...?

Unit powers up and LED's on left hand side of unit come on but No main display - makes a kind of clinking noise constantly as if trying to start something up but fails. Have reset the microprocessor by holding front speaker and zone 2 and all the LED's flash as they should on a reset but the main display does not fire up.

BTW - no sound is output and no OSD via monitor out?

    Any help appreciated.

The amp could be shutting down due to a short in one of the speaker cables.

Try disconnecting all speaker cables from the amp end, and see if it does the same.

If it powers on fine, reconnect each cable (making sure the amp is off during each connection of course :D ), to identify which cable is creating the Short.

If that doesn't work, then I am not so sure what the problem could be.

Thanks for the reply Kazman - but have tried without any cables in at all and same thing - all speakers / inputs curently connected to a ( hopefully ) temporary 2802 and working sweet...

    Anyone else?

I don't mind putting it inot a dealer but 1) it's bloody heavy to be carting round town and 2) they'll probably charge me at least £100 even if it's just a fuse or something?
