Im wondering if its problems having now been finally sorted.
I would avoid Deno have a fairly poor track record here
this is a player that should never have come on the market.it is crap.
Never had any problems with mine - I wonder if the ppl who left the "crap" comments actually have one or not ...
Mine had problems, picture breaking up, locking up, had to switch off at the plug before it would work again.
Shame really because when it played correctly the picture was excellent.
Swapped it out for a Arcam 88+, bliss
I owned one for about four days but i had the odd sound drop out and freezing on certain movies. Also had severe blocking on beverley hills cop (R4) at the bottom of the screen, Goldfinger (R2) froze after 15 minutes and would not play at all. Tried both of these disks on my old Pioneer 636 and both played perfectly. When the Denon played a movie it played it very well, picture through component was very good and sound was excellent. The main issue was with all the problems i had experienced in just four days (was off work ill at the time so had plenty of time to try it out) i wasnt enjoying dvds as i was just waiting for the next problem. I took it back to the dealer and exchanged for a Pioneer 757 and i havent looked back since (touch wood). I wouldnt say the Denon was crap, if you have one that works they are excellent but now i wouldnt swap my 757 for any denon not even the A1. Would i have a denon again, not current models but probably if they released new models that worked consistently.
Yes,i had 3 2800'S & were all CRAP i've never known a player with so much artifact/blocking
