    HI,

Does anyone have the latest firmware for the Denon2800 MK II DVD Player. I have one with version:-

    ESS 9104-3
    DRV 6200-2

If you have a newer version than this is there any chance you can contact me via PM to either email it to me or stick it on a website that I can download it. Or point me towards a website that has it.

Mine is currently multi-region, but I would settle for a newer version of the firmware that is Region 2 only. I'd prefer Multi Region but 2 in the newer firmware would do :)

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've downloaded a version from an Italian website that has been mentioned before but apparently that is just the same as I currently have on the player. So at least i've got a backup of this :)

    Cheers

    Steff

    Turn it off.

When you turn it back on ensure you press the open and play buttons at the same time as the on button (with no disk in the tray). Then it says loading and I think goes 0:00:00

You then need to use the remote and press the menu button top middle? and this then rotates you through the menu.

The PAL Prog MR that you have could you say what version that is and do you have any problems with it freezing? if not then any chance I can nick it off you :)

I've got an official CD (from Denon) of the progressive PAL region 2 firmware which is dated July 2003 On the disc it says it is GEN6104-4 (9). I've loaded this and it says it is
    DRV 6200-2
    ESS 9104-4

My player was multiregion when I bought it but this version overwrote the hack and converted it to R2 only. If you want this version I'll mail it to you if you let me know yr email address

I'm so excited i'm dashing home at lunchtime to do the upgrade :) sod work for a few minutes.

I'll report back tomorrow on how good it is and if it's sorted out my "long freeze" at the layer change on some dvds issue.

Well, i've tried Star Wars II "The Clone thingy, with kick arse yoda" Just into Ch 28 is the layer change when i skipped straight to 28 the first time it froze for 5 or so seconds.

I then jumped back to track 27 skipped forward a bit and gave it a few more seconds grace before the layer change and it worked perfectly tried another disc that I had a problem with, that was fine as well. So it's looking good will see how it goes over the next few evenings.

It is R2 only now, but i've got hardly any R1 discs and have a Tosh 230? or 240? can't remember which, that will do for those.

    Steff

    Thanks again nicko
