denon 2800 mk 11 multi region hack

    hi,
    just seen the above player for in the sales for £173.02
    can it be hacked for multi region ?
    any comments on player?

    haha, where'd you find it for that price?

    It's not a 'Hack' for multi-regioning, it's a firmware update.

    However, there's 1001 problems surrounding firmware updates to make this player multiregion.

    Try a forum search for more information.

    empire direct , they have them in gold will match my denon avc-10se

    I don't think its the Mark II version. I believe its the original one.

    Do we know this for sure?

    The picture on the empire website certainly appears to be of a MKII as it has the ">NSV" logo on the left hand side (below the "Pure progressive" logo).

    If you look at the enlarged image on the empire site and then check the DVD2800 and DVD2800MKII on the Denon website you'll see what I mean.

    Actually - just noticed this - what's showing on the player's display
    on the empire site is exactly what's shown on the DVD2800MKII on the Denon site (i.e. timer = 00:02:15) so the picture is definitely of a MKII. I'd say you'd have good reason to cancel your order/return the player if it is NOT the MKII that they are selling.

    I rang them yesterday.

    It is not the Mk2.
