    Hi

It’s black (I can take a photo if needed) and yeah I can box it up and post if you’re happy to cover the courier costs.

Let me box it properly and weight it to figure out postage cost. I’m away at the moment and won’t be home until weekend so will get some info next week.

Hi mate, just received the receiver. It looks like it has taken one hell of a bang in transit, the entire right hand side is dented pretty badly and there's a lot of broken polystyrene in the box.

    Here are the pictures:

I'm not sure what to do to be honest. I will hook it up and see if it still works. There is no sound of anything moving around inside, so it doesn't seem to have broken anything off internally - but it's not in the condition I believed it to be.

Not sure if you can claim anything back from UPS, or if it's me who has to do that?

    Jesus! o_O

There broken polystyrene is expected. Basically there should have been 3 solid pieces (2 at the bottom front and back and 1 on the top front).

The 2400 was slightly different shape so couldn’t fit all 4 pieces so I broke up the 4th piece and stuffed it down the sides.

That looks like a puncture through the box into the side of the AV :(

Check out whether it’s working or not and I’ll look into what cover there is with UPS and we will sort something out.

Grrr, pissed off as they could obviously see what it was :(

There is no damage to the outside of the box on that side. Only that tear on the inside, makes me think something has been put on top of the box in the van! There's a lot more than three pieces of polystyrene inside though!

Should have been three full pieces. Two bottom one top and lots of broken bits.

There seems to be a big scratch on the side though which doesn’t fit with it being “squashed”. Very odd :/

That isn't a scratch, it looks like the white from the polystyrene. It comes off if I rub it, but left it there for the photos.

The receiver seems to be working fine surprisingly, it's just such a shame it is now in this state cosmetically.

Ah, ok that makes more sense.

Totally your decision. I guess the options are

    a) Refund and post it back and I’ll see what I can claim from UPS.

    b) Keep it and I’ll claim from UPS (hopefully) and I’ll give you a partial refund.

I’ll go with either or any other options you won’t to suggest?

Thanks. Think I will go with B as other than the bloody big dent it's working.

Hi mate, have you still got the box? Is there anything that shows some kind of "external force", also could you take a photo of the polystyrene packaging, just the 3 full bits. Need to upload more photos to them :/

I will upload them as soon as I'm home, to be honest though there isn't much indication of "external force" on the outside of the box. Something I'm sure they will use to get out of covering the damage. My guess is something heavy was put on the side of the box, and there isn't going to be a huge amount of external damage caused but it would have bent the side of the box in and damaged the receiver
