Denon 1930 - Noisy drive

I've recently used my Denon-1930 DVD player and been reminded how noisy the drive is.

It's almost impossible to listen to a CD or DVD without the sound being incredibly distracting.

I couldn't upload a video unfortunately but the sound is not just a whirring of the disk but a slightly rattling noise.

Below is the closest similar noise that I could find on Youtube though not as extreme and with more 'rattle'.

Are there any common 'easy fixes' or methods to reduce the overall level?

Thanks in advance.

Worked out that the silver strip/bar that crosses over the top of the drive vibrates slightly as the disc spins. It's this that causes the most annoying vibration which is transmitted as sound. Resting a finger lightly on this bar dampens the vibration and reduces the sound.

Another silver bar runs over the top of this.

Thinking that applying some sort of pad to the underside of the top bar might allow the lower bar to press gently against it and deaden the vibration.

(not sure why there are multiple images)
