Quality of the product aside, did you buy this DVD player for the HDMI output capability or are you still using component. Is the PQ any different on this model between the two connections?

I'm interested in the Denon but if upscaling via HDMI isn't leaps and bounds I may well stick to using component and therefore save a few quid and get the Pio 575 instead.

Have you compared both outputs or have you only used HDMI with it.

I see denon 1920 better through components. Is it normal?

I think it is normal. In Finland, Hifi-magazine tested Denon 1910 about year ago and they thought picture via component is slightly better than DVI.

HDMI @ 720p has the edge here on a Sony KLD-S32A12:D
