    Greetings to you all,

I am just purchasing the denon 1920 and 1906 and need advice on which speaker manufacture and type to go for.

Cost is an issue, so the cheaper the better, but i do whant to make use of the 7.1 from the 1906.

    Many thanks in advance

    Kevin:lease:

    Hi

What sort of budget are you looking at and what type of speakers would you prefer? Floorstanders, Bookshelfs, Small Satellites etc?

For the normal use (films, tv, games) I`m using the Tannoy EFX5.1. Nice clear sound, good bass without being to much. Sometimes the centre speaker is a little quiet but that could be the sound mix rarther than the speaker. I`m pleased with the overall sound quality.

I`ve been told that I can buy the extra speakers to match, but the we only have a smallish room and the Mrs`s doesn`t want any more speakers. I`ve two bookshelf speakers on stands dedicated to music so maybe she`s right :(

I think that's unsual with DD5.1 or DTS5.1. It's a preference thing, but i tend to increase the centre by +2db to +3db once i have run the auto set-up a couple of times.

Otherwise you crank up the sound for dialogue and then blow your roof off with an explosion !

Thanks for the info, but I am looking possibly at KEF KHT 1005's. What do you guy's (and girls ) think. The best price I have seen is £00.000 from RS but trying to find cheaper elsewhere, and also purchase 2 other for the rear. Any ideas. :lease:

I have a set of CANTONS connected to my Denon 2105.

    3 x CD50 for the front left/centre/right
    2 x CD10 for the rear left/right

I am very happy with the sound and the M&K KX-9 gives good low-frequency sounds.

I've got the 1906 and 1920 and have Kef Q4 fronts and Q1 rear with a sub. Sounds amazing and I really appreciate the full range of the floorstanders when playing music.

Of course, it depends on your budget etc, but I can echo the above - just picked up some cantons from Jake via the speaker powerbuy forum and am well chuffed!
