    Hi there

Couple of quick questions re Denon 1910. Am planning to hook it up to a Philips 32PF9986 via DVI.

    1) Anybody got experience of whether the 1910 will play DVD+Rs. Or if the 2910/3910 plays them.

    2) Which DVI cable to go for?

    3) Is Peter Tyson the best place to get it from?

Also, has anybody got strong views on whether the Panny s97 or Sammy HD945 are better players.

Thanks in advance for any info/experience. :lease:

    Alan

I'm interested in all those things as well... ;)

And I'm also considering the Philips DVP900SA.
All my previous Philips DVD players handle DVD+Rs very well.

    1) I have to dissagree with svrmarty on point number 1.

These denon players dont work with DVD + RW.

They only work with DVD - Disks.

    2) I use a monster DVi-DVi cable and noticed a considerable improvement over a cheapo dvi cable.

(just make sure your TV is HDCP compatible other wise the DVi link wont work with the DVD poayer. LCD monitors ment for PCs also wont work)

    3) cant help you there mate. I live in Japan and bought my 3910 here for 500 quid. (100.000 yen)
