Denon 1910 no sound from hdmi input but sound if direct to tv

Got a 1910 connected up to my htpc which has a ati hd5450 card which out puts audio and video via hdmi. problem is i cant get the amp to output any of the sound. i know its working because when i connect the cable to the tv i get sound and picture but connect to tv via amp and only get picture. tried setting the 1910 to amp mode but no joy and also no sound if set to tv.

Anyone know how i can get sound ?

Sounds like it's just a case of going to the audio settings in the menu and assigning the correct input.

sounds like input mode might be set to digital rather than hdmi
