Denon 1909 or Onkyo 606?

I have been planning on getting myself a 606, however after looking on the richer sounds website - they have the Denon 1909 down to £299 (the 606 is down to £329).

Which one is the better choice?

What are the main differences between the two?

Thanks in advance

I've just purchased the 1909, which I prefer. The onkyo is said to get a bit hot, and the denon imo looks a lot nicer.

I spoke to richer and they said the Onkyo was better, but in my experience richer do have a nak for recommending whatever they have in stock rather than what is best, and they were sold out of the denon yet had loads of the onkyo.

Good luck finding a richer with the 1909 in stock, there is very limited supply. HiFI confidential have it in silver at £299 and ignoring what the website says they will ship it for free.

I put a 12cm fan on top of mine, run it at 5V and no noise at all, makes a big difference.
At work we have other amps that get as hot though.
