What to people think about this I know, the pioneer has better dacs, but has anone done a comparison yet.

Which one should I buy, it is for a screenplay 4800 projector.

Many Thanks,
Boo.

The Denon 1710 is a US-only player, so I doubt any members of this UK forum have tried it. The Pioneer is getting some rave reviews right now, so may be a good choice. Your best bet is trying a US magazine or forum for your answer. In reality getting a demo yourself is the best way forward.

The 1710 is a UK machine, You can purchase it from sEvenoaks and from avland.

I just need to know which one is better for my projector.

Sorry flamingoboo, you are correct. My apologies. However my advice about deciding for yourself after demoing still stands. Spec-wise the machines seem to be just about identical, so it's in the design and development by each firm, that the differences will come out and only your ears can give you the best answer to that one. The Denon is cheaper right now......
