Denon 1706 Amp with Sky HD

Hiya guys, got my Sky HD installed today, used the new optical cable and hooked it to the Denon 1506 Amp, selected the right input... and no sound.. quite confused. tried diff port, diff cable same thing.

Are there any known issues? tested it with a dvd player and that still works as normal..

would appreciate some info if anyone knows, ti's drivin me nuts.. love HD so far hehe, just wish there were more channels.

Have you altered Audio (in Sky Hd services Menu) to Dolby Digital?

Check all the settings on the Denon and make sure the HD box is set to Dolby in the sound settings may help.

There has been issue with DD and some amps including Denon

There is a setting on your amp to select input coding...

Can be "DTS", "Dolby Digital, "Dolby PL" or "AUTO"


Make sure your amp is left on AUTO
