I want an amp to use with some small speakers (such as Canton CD-1 or MS Avant Premiere Plus).

The Denon 1905 has been recommended. Other than support for 7.1 rather than 6.1 is there any reason why I sould not go for a 1705 and save myself around £50.

Other than the extra channel I can't see much difference but I accept that my knowledge of AV Amps is limited.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

The 1905 has On screed display, and I think an extra optical input at the front.
There may be others, try doing a model comparison on the denon web site.

I've done a comparison on the website before posting and couldn't see any major difference.

I was just checking that I wasn't missing something important.

    Cheers,

    Nigel
