He;s a small guy who fancies himself a bit of a crooner and always wants to sing the theme tunes of shows he's in?

I love the show, but I have to admit that this is one of the weaker sketches, funny the first time but not to keep repeating each week. I don't get why he's short either - the original series was made for radio so it can't have been important to the sketch then!!

There are a couple of websites but all of them just say that its basically he can't find work as he always insists on writing and singing the theme tune. Try David Williams website (http://www.davidwalliams.com/LittleBritainTvHome.htm) for more info....

I think I need to watch the first series (I missed it all!) as I've viewed a couple of episodes of this and find it repetitive and a bit tedious after you've seen the characters a couple of times.

On an interview with the Little Britain guys, they said that originally Dennis Waterman just had a high voice on radio but when they came to move to TV they thought he sounded small so made that part of the joke.

I, for one, love the Dennis Waterman sketches. I agree that the best sketch in the second series is the health farm woman "Call me bubbles, everybody does"

The sketch that tickled me most in this series was the corner shop sketch in episode 4.....Planning a w**k?

I too don't get the 'Waterman sketches'

Also, I think the 'want bitty' sketches are a bit crude. More shocking than humerous
Maybe once is enough but the shock element wears thin when the same 'gag' is repeated over and over.

I guess not all of these sketches are to all tastes. Myself, I could never understand why everyone raved about "The Fast Show", I thought it was rubbish for the most part. I don't think I ever laughed out loud once at that but Little Britain still gives me plenty of laughs. Last weeks episode wasn't up to the usual standard though I must say and certain sketches have run their course, like Vicky Pollard I reckon.

I never liked the Fast Show either. The problem with all of these types of shows for me is the repetitive nature of them. The early days of Harry Enfield worked well because it was like a modern day Dick Emery and was well written, but the others just don't do it for me.

    I've heard they're doing a third series??

I think they should leave it at two and quit while they're still ahead.

    Hi,

I too find the second series a bit lame., first one was funny, but some of the characters are weak in this series. The writing is very poor, too basic. Far toooooo reptitive.

2DTV is far funnier me thinks. Everyone to their own.
