Demo projector in or near coventry?

Does anyone know of any places near or in Coventry which have some demo optoma HD33 and Epson TW6000 projectors setup?

I have decided on that bracket but without seeing them in person I'm not sure which to go for.
As it stands I am leaning towards the HD33 because the 2d is good and the 3d is very good but I hear the epson would be sharper with slightly better 2d but slightly worse 3d. My room can get quite dusty too so that is also making me lean towards the DLP.

I am coming from an Optoma HD700X.

my choice would be the Epson, but as you can`t see rainbows obviously coming from an Optoma then its maybe your choice ultimatley.

The 2d between the 2 for me is very close with the Epson winning on black level, I do like the Epsons image, I find them to be very watchable if you know what I mean.

Also the 3d at its price point is very good, nothing really to moan about.

the Epson also at 2200 lumens has plenty to offer in the non light controlled room so could tip it your way.

Epson warranty and backup should also be another consideration, they excel here.

Thank you for your thoughts Allan. I know the optoma is rated at 1800 lumens yet it peaks around 1050 according to reviews, do you know if it is a similar case with the epson?

i`ve typically never measured both pj`s for actual lumens output, spose I should really

Ok thanks for the reply, despite your help I'm still going to have to try and view this somewhere if I can find anyone with the setup!

you`d be very welcome here to see the Epson in action

is your room light controlled btw? with non reflective surfaces or is it a typical living room enviroment, you should really have a projector demo in like for like conditions if possible as the room really does make a world of difference to a projected image.

I appreciate the offer but you are quite a distance away, 115miles!

I actually have it setup in my bedroom which is quite small as it is. I have sliding mirror wardrobes across one wall.

I can only use the projector in the evening as light comes in through the blinds, I really need to get some kind of blackout screen at some point.

You really need to cover that mirror when using the projector it will play havoc with your image quality.

Yeah, I can stack two doors so only two of the mirrors actually show when watching a film. But you are right, they need to be covered, I have been lazy :p I'm also not sure what to cover them with.

Mate, I'm just outside Coventry in Bulkington, I have a HD33 in my lounge if you want to see it in action. Can't help with the other I'm afraid.
