    Hi,

Does anyone know of any demo centre's in N.Ireland (or Ireland for that matter)?

I am hoping to demo a range of projectors up to £4k.

    Thanks,
    Dave.

As above plus Kronos Hi-Fi in Dungannon. They do a lot of high end stuff but ring beforehand as they are a bit out of the way (unless you live in Dungannon).

    :)

    hi

as the guys have said yer best bet is lyric hi-fi in belf (speak to michael), flicks in bangor (mitchell) and kronos in Dgn.

Kronos are expensive and they may try to sell u something u don't want. don't start laughin if u go (soon) and he tries to sell u a special deal on a davis projector with screen!

i have me doubts on their tactics. they have good gear and you'll be impressed but pricing is a bit off and as for discount ... no mission.

before u go make sure u have done yer research and know your best price.

The Sony 11ht will be widely available as well as the philips monroe

    have fun

Hi folks, I just wanted to say that over the last few months i have been dealing with the guys in Kronos. I found them to be very knowledgeable and very patient. I also found them to give me a percentage off the speakers which others did not. I used the kef IQ's with Yamaha amp. Thanks guys.

    Hi Trainor

glad you had a good experience with Kronus, David and the chaps in there are indeed very knowledgeable and at times patient. They have an excellent layout in there with good stuff, but i have yet to go in there and be offered a great deal. i have been in looking at cd players, speakers, projectors etc and i always get hit with the same old, no discount or if any it is tiny and hardly worth it. I know discounting is difficult at times but at least they could give it a go and check their prices against listings on the web and other specialist shops within the uk

I would love to build up a good relationship with the guys but unless your minted (like most of their customers) it is very difficult for us people in modest income to get 'a good deal' :(

but glad you got sorted.

its good to hear from guys in wee Non-Iron ... keep the posts coming :smashin:

    all the besty

Hi Nobby, I wouldn't say I 'was minted' I think us wee guys from norn iron just part with the cash too easy... All the best.

    hi mate

no i was not making the assumption you were 'minted' ... good luck to you if you are!! :smashin: its my observation of the clientel @ Kronos and who they like to cater for ... trust me there is mighty big pockets in and around the surrounding catchment area! i don't think they hide the fact that they like the people with the big pockets coming in! :)

if yer willing to pay RRP for a considerable purchase / or really deperate for the item then by all means go for em, i have done on occasion. but he stocks some high-end stuff in there, and if i was going in to spend around 2k i would like some goodwill gesture ... as i am sure there is good margins in some of the stock he retails

as my previous post stated, i think they're excellent and its nice to have their expertise in the country. But its annoying that sometimes its difficult to agree a 'deal' and be able to go ahead with a purchase and i personally feel intimidated when going in ... this is my feeling. i love HC and have invested thousands in my own equipment over the years but even on a modest income i struggle in there UNLESS i was happy to part with the cash if i had no alternative.

but great you got sorted out, maybe in time i may be able to do more business with them but in my opinion there is always a better deal elsewhere.

    good luck
