Hi,

I am looking to sell my Dell XPS 15 9550 (Skylake) as I wish to move back to an OSX environment for 2017.

The machine has served me well in recent months for my multimedia needs and is blistering fast with a gorgeous 4K screen.

The XPS 15 is in very good condition as it's been mainly used connected to a monitor and sat on my desk for a long period of time with minimal travel.

Specification are as follows:
  • i7-6700HQ
  • 16GB DDR4-2133MHz (2 x 8GB)
  • 512GB PCIe Solid State Drive (NVMe PM951 NVMe SAMSU)
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M with 2GB GDDR5
  • 15.6" 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge touch
  • Win 10 Pro
  • 1 HDMI
  • 2 USB 3.0 with PowerShare
  • 1 Thunderbolt 3
  • SD Card Reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC)
  • Kensington Lock Slot
  • Widescreen HD (720p) webcam with dual array digital microphones
  • UK Full size, backlit chiclet keyboard;
  • Killer 1535 802.11ac 2x2 WiFi
  • Bluetooth 4.1
  • 84Whr battery
  • 2kg (4.4 lbs)
Sadly it does not come with the retail packaging and would be sold as is with the original charger. For protection it would be packaged in a suitable box and padding to prevent anything happening to it during transit.

I believe the laptop is under warranty with Dell until early March 2017 and there's a Dell warranty transfer process. Further details about the transfer can be found here.

£1250 collected and inspected in person (Berkshire/London)

I may deliver this within reason locally but no guarantees due to the time of the year but payment would have had to clear first.

If there is no interest locally then I will consider posting it via RMSD at the buyer's expense.

Item is advertised elsewhere.

Better pictures to follow.

Any questions please do let me know.

Price and currency: £1250
Delivery: Goods must be exchanged in person
Payment method: Bank Transfer
Location: London
Advertised elsewhere?: Advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I prefer the goods to be collected

The laptop was brand new and not a refurbished unit or from the outlet store. It shipped March 2016. I don't have a receipt.

I am willing to listen to sensible offers but the previous two are well off what I'd consider letting the XPS go for.

When would you be able to send it?
My son would need to have it on Friday (or Saturday, but they might not deliver then).

Insured, next day delivery, would cost just below £30, for up to 10kg.

What date was it registered with dell?

Thank you.

@quantumparticle

Thanks for your interest. Where are you based? I would have preferred collection but can certainly look into delivery options for you.

I was gifted the laptop earlier in the year but having checked the Service Tag with Dell it was registered on March 03, 2016.

I would need to wipe the laptop and reset back to factory settings via Windows 10 recovery options.

As stated before the laptop would be packaged in a normal plain box with packaging to prevent any damage.

Sorry, we bought a laptop 2 hours ago.
It had to arrive before Friday, so deadline determined the purchase.
Pity though, best of luck with your sale.

I thought you had expensive dental surgery to pay for. Why are you trying to buy so many other things, surely the money would be better spent on your surgery?!
Please think carefully before making offers on any threads, lowballing is not appreciated and I've seen you do that in a few different threads now. If you're not prepared to pay near the asking price, don't bother posting at all as you're just wasting people's time and thread spoiling.

Where abouts are you based or work? If given adequate notice I maybe able to come into London if still interested in the XPS. I can double-check my diary. Thanks.

Work in Canary Wharf, live in Croydon. If you could get to either of those, would make an offer. Thanks!

I will just double check Google Maps and the Tube site but reckon both journeys would be just over an hour for me. How soon would you need the XPS if an offer is accepted? Thanks.

I don't work in London but would need to travel into London via Tube or look to drive. By Friday night could work as it gives me time to do a clean install as I am still using the laptop for a few admin tasks.

Thanks for offering to meet half way as that could prove handy. What time do you head home from Canary Wharf or reach home to Croydon? Would just need a convenient place to possibly meet if it is half way.

Please feel free to make an offer and we can take it from there.

If you're wanting to go OSX, why not just install it on this. It would make a super hackintosh laptop.
