Hi and Help wanted please.
I have recently acquired an old Dell flatscreen monitor type 1703FPS.

My question is - there are 4 USB outlets on this monitor - 2 underneath and 2 on the side - but what are they for ???

I have tried plugging in various peripherals but nothing seems to work.
Are they there for outputs - inputs - or both?

one of the ports at the back plugs into your pc, and the other three you can plug your stuff into. the monitor acts as a hub

Thanks for that - didn't realise it was a sort of hub.
I thought it was for outputs to external bits and pieces - so does this mean I can connect my external hard drive into the monitor instead of on the front of the tower.
Be most useful if that would work as that would leave free ports on the tower for my headset etc.
Thanks again - most useful

Thanks for your info - have just read that section - looked on the Dell website earlier but did not see that one - so thanks to you for that.

should do, I've had memory stick readers plugged into a dell monitor before
