HI

I have the above pc and have fitted a new sata drive and loaded xp but it has named the local disk (I:)
I have tried to rename it in disc manager but it will not allow it.The problem is that when I try to load new drivers they want to go in C:
I assume that if I leave it as I: and then put them in this drive they will work but this will cause more problems down the line when downloading things ?

Any ideas how to go about it or should I reinstall xp again ?

Thanks

Sounds like the integrated card reader is causing this. Do the drives C, D etc. exist?

My solution when this happened was to disconnect the card reader from the motherboard, reinstall XP, (delete and recreate the partition), then reconnect the card reader.
