Dell 3G Connection Software

I have a Dell Mini 10v that came with the 5530 3G card and two months connection to Vodafone.

I have now got

• Vodafone Mobile Connect
• Dell ControlPoint
• Ericsson Connection Manager

All installed and all seem to do roughly the same job but seem quite different...

Anyone got any views on which is the best one to use?

I believe the Vodafone connection software only works with a Vodafone 3G sim card but it does offer extra features like SMS. I use a PAYG 3 sim card with the built-in 5530 WWAN card so I use the Dell Wireless connection software which works fine. If I wanted to use 3 specific features I would need to use the USB dongle instead.

I think the Ericsson Wireless Manager also has some SMS functionality (not actually tried this even on Vodafone yet)

The Dell ControlPoint software seemed to mess up the Dell wireless software which was installed before and I needed to uninstall this. Does the Dell offering control everything so you can choose to connect to 3G if there is no wifi ??
