My new screen is on the wall, and my previous plan of some very flat trunking, painted the same colour as the wall, is being thwarted by the twisty and uncooperative SCART cable.

The general trunking around the top of my fireplace is also a little tight, with no room for any more cables (might want component and VGA eventually)

so, has anybody tried deliberately conspicuous trunking?

I'm thinking then you could make it a design feature and not worry too much about it being small or flat or easily paintable.

I was looking at some aluminium right angled stuff in b&q, but it didn't seem easily mountable. Ideally something that could be used as a vertical cable tidy, and also something for between the fireplace and the wall

I dug a small channel along the wall and inset the trunking then painted over. Am very happy with the results (and so is the mrs). Would recommend this option.
