My dad has a tomtom one (i think a v2, will check).
And somehow when hooking up to his pc as mass storage managed to delete all files including hidden system ones :suicide:

Is there anywhere to get these back from?
Will tomtom supply? Where does he stand regarding map file and
    activation?

What a plank! Any help greatly appreciated!!

Yes, if you have deleted all the files, they are gone no reset will help.
I will have to check my One XL to see the file structure if that will help?

Have you ever backed up the TT either with windows or using TT home? If you have used TT home, search your computer for the Tom Tom directory and all the files you need should be in there. the same goes for an explorer back up.

Otherwise google for tom tom forums, at least one of these may provide you with the files you need, excluding the maps and then when you have re installed the software you will have to use TT home to re install the maps, TT should know from your device code which maps you had.

Lesson one...... always always, back up your tom tom using windows explorer that way you can keep multiple copies. TT home overwrites its back up.
