Hi all, just wondering if my AV amp (5.1) does not have audio delaying capabilities, what are my options gizmo wise, ie between my DVD player and the amp?

    cheers, spook

You may well find it cheaper to buy a receiver that does have the master audio delay feature. The only box that I know of was discussed a while back and I'm not sure if it is available yet, if ever in this country. have a look at This Thread it may help.

Spook - another option is to get a DVD player with audio delay management - all Arcam modern (Vaddis 5) DVD players support this with current player software. That means DV78, DV79 and the older DV88 Plus, DV89 family.

    HTH,

    Hi John
Does that mean you can use any receiver coupled to an arcam and plasma and have no problems with lip sinc.
    Cheers Gonzo.

Yes, an Arcam DVDP connected to any receiver would still give the audio delay, but only for DVD replay. It would have no effect for TV etc.
