    Hi Guys & Girls,

I am using WinMCE with nVidia DVD decoder and nVidia 6600 graphics.

Deinterlace control is set to "Smart" and method to "Best".

I have noticed several DVD extras and menus are not deinterlaced correctly unless I set deinterlace control to "Video".

My question is what would be the down side of leaving this set to "Video" and hence forcing deinterlacing on all content including progresive film?

I realise film doesn't require deinterlacing but will I loose picture quality by doing this?

    Any thoughts greatfully received.
