Very nice set - how close were you ? they look very serene.

the closest I got was about 20+ yards or so I think, the deer at studley royal are quite used to humans, plus they were feeding. When I went in October during the rut they were far more wary (and I didn't go as close!)

well when I was there during rutting season I went around a blind corner I came across a stag that was no more than 10 yards away

He wasn't too happy to see me so I backed off a far bit and took a couple of quick pictures

scary thing. Luckily he didn't have any of his ladies with him so maybe he wasn't quite as peed off at me, he still let me have the full benefit of a full throated roar
