I looking for a decent European etailer that stocks the newly release Dragon DVD of Dario Argento's Deep Red. This release features the CD soundtrack as its 3rd disc. The only site that stocks it (I can find) is Sazuma & I've heard nothing but negativity about them. Could anyone send me to another site, so I can order this title
Is this likely to be any good? I've been severely underwhelmed by previous Dragon Argento releases...
I thought the Limited Edition of Unsane (Tenebre) was pretty good? I want to know how much it will be priced at?
Have you tried the Suspiria 3 disc set from Anchor Bay? Superb package with loads of extras and DD EX and DTS 6.1 soundtracks, as well as a CD of the soundtrack, a hefty booklet and reproductions of the lobby cards. Only £14 from DVD Soon and they have it in stock!
It's not "cut" exactly (more like missing approx 20 secs of footage due to AB not being able to source an intact print of sufficient quality) but it is anamorphic (albeit a not-too-terrific port of their non-anamorphic NTSC transfer). The best release of Tenebre currently available (to my certain knowledge) is the Dutch disc (under the title "Shadows"). It's anamorphic and complete. With regard to the above, it's also worth (for the Argento obsessive) picking up AB's 2-disc R2 of Suspiria (which I've seen floating around second-hand for £2.99), because (unlike the bespoke 25th Anniversary doc on the R1) it features Michelle Soavi's Dario Argento's World of Horror doc as its main extra (which the R1 lacks, and vice versa).
I have the Anchor Bay R1 and presumed it was uncut. Any idea what's missing? Is it one 20 second chunk or scattered bits?
