Deciding on my next HDR 55" TV?

Hello all..I am wanting to pick up a 55" LED/LCD 4k HDR for my back room. My budget is 2k and it will be solely used for BD/UHD movies and Sky. There is no point in asking for the best. Because we all know the perfect TV does not exist. But it would be nice to get something as close to being highly recommended by you guys for PQ & HDR. :)

55" will be my absolute limit, as it will be placed into a corner.

For less than 2k the Sony 55XE9005 is a steal at 1699 or just over the 55XE9305 is 2395.

With owning the B6 myself I for one can say, the TV is a stunner. The only thing that lets it down is the HDR, in comparison to LED's/LCD's.

Whilst on my dinner break yesterday I did happen to pop into JL and the only none OLED that stood out for me was the 55XE9305 actually. Granted, colours/contrast and brightness are all jacked up for the purpose to lure you in. And the famously (Oh..I have this TV at home) Was spread thick to me aswell lol.

I swear if I had the room I would go hog wild and suit my room with a 75" Or maybe even a projector.

Atmos which is still on my wish list and one of those retro cinema popcorn makers too. With a choice of sweet and salt. I did give a thought about having a concession stand, but I think that may very be stretching my limit lol.

More opinions are welcome. :)

The problem is they don't compare in price, the XE93 at 55" is £500 more at the moment which makes the OLED a lot better in value right now.

Hopefully the XE93 will be reduced as much as the XD93, if it comes down to the price the XD93 has been the past few months next year then that will be a steal that is for sure.

If you are interested in the Sony 55XE9305 then check out the Sony Centres refurb section. £1499 at the moment.
Never used them myself but I am sure others have on this forum.

I definitely would not I had 3 replacement 55XE9305s and two came scratched (refurbished apparently), third one was new but turned out with electrical fault and blew up within 3 weeks. I had (not kidding) 6 TVs from Sony this year so that’s it now. Waiting for money back and going to get OLED LG.
