No, that's a hand strap. I mean a wrist strap.

Hmmm, can't say that i could confidently recommend any wrist straps for that meaty beast of a camera. Is it purely a matter of convenience over the neckstrap? I would never leave something like that dangling on a wrist strap, no matter how hardcore it seemed. But from what i've seen, some of the higher end sony wrist straps seem quite good, nice chunky webbing, and a solid camera loop, you might be able to pick one up on Ebay, or maybe jessops or similar can order one in for you?

I think she is going to convert the neckstrap into a wrist strap.

Can anyone comment on this wrist strap ? Do you definately need the battery grip as well for it to work or is there another workaround ?
When I go out bird spotting I tend to have my binoculars around my neck and my camera permanently hand held, so something like this would be perfect. I end up wrapping the neck strap around my wrist to try and hold it securely but I just know it's an accident waiting to happen
