    Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is the best section to post this in but it is in regards to a Blu ray player!!

I just picked up a real "bargain" Denon BD3800 Blu ray player off of a very nice chap on this very forum... i bought it knowing it had a fault but the price i got it for meant it was well worth the risk.

Does anyone know or could they reccomend me a really good repairer to send this to? someone who can repair circuit boards rather than who would just immediately order a very expensive new board.

basically the fault is a sort of pixelated line running across the screen and i have been told this is probably a fault with the "scaler" board.

I just need someone trustworthy to send it to because other then the fault the player is in mint condition!!

any help will be MUCH appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    I've used these guys...
    Creative Audio - Shop Tour

They have their own onsite workshop, plus they do non warrenty work too.

They know Denon products amongst others... as they sell them.

Give them a call via their website ....they fixed mine!

    Sorry to hear that Mark,
However, for the benefit of others who might read this in the future, can you explain why they were unable to help?

Was it because yours was not purchased from them?
They don't fix blu ray players?
    they no longer fix Denon?
or another reason? ........or indeed any reason.

    What about richersounds?

Richer Sounds - The UK's Hi-Fi, Home Cinema & Flat Panel TV Specialists!

although like Creative they may only work on their own sales, however, their wording on the website perhaps suggests otherwise....

Originally set up for in house servicing of our own products and those sold by us, the department has now expanded to provide a facility direct to the public via our network of stores.

    Might be worth an email?

    I'm trying to help:smashin:
