Decent online MP3 music store?

Is there one or more that shines above any others? Doub't I'll want many, just the odd track where I don't like the artist enough to buy a CD. I've used 7Digital quite a lot but most is in protected WMA which is a bit of a drag to work with.

I'm not after any illegal sites. It's just that MP3 is for play on my Ipod AND I'd probably look to play the odd track of it on the house player (likely to be a Sonos or, at the moment, over a PC/Mac using a stable player). Trouble is of course Ipod etc won't play WMA and burning and ripping back in in MP3 I suspect just degrades an already none to good quality track further. A decent MP3 store with a good range is what I need. I suppose I could use iTunes but even that has a problem if you want to use a different player.

There is not one single store i would recommend, i'm sticking to CD's for now. But Amazon are opening an online music store in the near future, will be interesting to see how they go about it.

There is a way of buying off itunes and "sorting" for use as a "normal" track if you look hard enough ;)

Agreed !!! Its such a shame that the best sites and we all know who they are, are the ones that are "illegal" or allegedly. As sson as someone gets their act together and offers all bitrates and formats in an user friendly manner like the illegal site then they have my money:smashin:
