Hi All,

For the two of you interested, Lidl is selling a very good 2M HDMI-HDMI cable for £4.99 branded as Silvercrest. Specs as per the box are:

  • HDMI
  • For a max. resolution of 1080i
  • Transmits digital video and audio signals via an HDMI interface
  • Uncompressed, lossless transmission
  • 24-karat (sic) golod-plated connector and contacts for excellent transmission fidelity without resistance
  • Individually shielded data wires
  • Ferrite coils on both ends for shielding against high-frequency noise
  • Moulded connector with strain relief

Picture of the cable attached below, this is a great buy and saves you having to go down the Internet route if you can't wait. Get 'em whilst stocks last, its ridiculous that similar cables sell for upwards of 30 notes in other shops (I'm looking at you Mr Richer!).

Regards,

DG

If anyone could pick one up for me please, it would be appreciated - obviously I would cover the postage costs :smashin:

this cable actually does 1080p no problems at all with a ps3 connected to it.

I just picked up one of these from a Lidl store in Ireland (Tullamore). Plenty more
left if anybody is near a Rep of Ireland Lidl store.:smashin:

Just thought I'd add that this is a cheap alternative - a 1M gold plated Foxconn branded HDMI lead for £3.49 at Amazon. You're buying a Samsung L85 cradle at a clearance price, but comes complete with the above.

*** Edit: Price has gone up to £31.45 - think someone's a been bulk buying maybe...

Bought a Samsung Home Cinema System from PC World and new I needed an HDMI cable, the cheapest they had was a PS3 recommended one for about £18.00. Why oh why didn`t wait to read this post god old Lidl`s.

Mind you have you seen the BELKIN gold plated ones for £99.00 two cables for the price of a Hme Cinema System...
