Hi folks, as per title, I've got a tab 3 that just won't turn on.
I bought it from Amazon in December and used it most days but I left it in the car for a few days and now it's unresponsive. There appears to be no way to remove the battery as you would with a frozen phone. There does appear to be a tiny hole next to the power button for a hard reset but nothing has worked.
Any ideas please before I contact amazon
    Thank you
    Dave.

if you purchased in December, it should be under guarantee.
Dont mess with it, contact Amazon and return for replacement. you dont have to tell them you left in a car and it shouldn't really matter about that anyway

    Tried this?

In order to hard reset your Samsung tablet, the steps given below must be followed:

    • Ensure that the Samsung tablet is powered off.
    • Press the Power and the Volume Up button together till the device displays the start-up logo.
    • Once the logo is displayed, release the buttons and wait till the device enters the Android system recovery mode.
    • On the displayed screen, use Volume Down button to go to the wipe data/factory resetoption (Volume Up and Volume Down buttons are used to highlight the displayed options on the Android system recovery screen).
    • Once the option is highlighted, press the Power button to select the option. (Pressing thePower button in Android system recovery mode selects the highlighted option.)
    • On the next screen, press the Volume Down button multiple times till the Yes -- delete all user data option is highlighted.
    • Press the Power button to hard reset the Samsung tablet device while clearing the dalvik cache along with the process.

Thank you very much for your replies,
    It's much appreciated
Actually, I just left it on charge and eventually it came on on its own. It was completely flat. I even had to reset the date and time etc. Some of the apps had gone as well.
I've saved the post on hard reset, very useful. Thanks
    Dave
