The other day i noticed a what i thought was a dead pixel  but have read here they are Black where as mines red and doesn't always show up, only when the area is meant to be green or white. Its not that noticable and most can't see it except me who knows where it is.
Will this correct it self or is it a perminant problem, I'm not looking for a replacement or warranty claim just curious as i know these are a known defect occasionally with plasmas.
Screena Panny PW6 by the way.

What you have is a failed green pixel. On a white image (one where all 3 colours should be present) a lack of green will give the white a red tint.

The plasma manufacturers would argue with that statement  If you believe them it's a 'feature' of flat panel display technology  The operation manual for my screen makes for sorry reading with regard dead / hot pixels.

Possibly. Nigel may be a little over the top, or he may be bang on the button. I have known them simply to 'stick', and correct themselves later. Only time will tell.
