I can't see there ever being a DVD recorder that will record DD5.1 as you would be able to record a perfect copy of a film from Sky+ and so they would sell far fewer pre-recorded DVDs.
    What do you think ?

Kiss are supposed to be doing one but a lot of their stuff seems like vapourware. They have released details on quite a few models which are still not out.

    Cheers,

Not exactly 'perfect' as DTV doesn't even come close to DVD in terms of DVD picture quality.

Even if it did, i'd still buy the real thing, just like I used to with 'sell thru' VHS films
