dd dts out

    can anybody tell me how to cancel the onboard dd dts decoders on a sony dvp ns 700 so i will just be using my sherwood rd 6103 amp for my dd dts thanks ps im using a co axle between the dvd ------amp

    If your receiver is set to receive the sound via the coax input then you will be useing the amps decoder.
    To use the DVD's onboard decoder you need to connect the 5.1 analogue outputs on the DVD to the 5.1 analogue inputs on the receiver.
    If both are connected then you need to tell the receiver which input (analogue or digital) to use. If only the digital coax is connected then if you have sound you must be useing the receivers decoder.
