I own a Infocus X1 projector and I'm setting up a home theater, but I have some question:

    1) because the X1 have DCDi by Faroudja it make sense to have in the chain a DVD player with progressive scan and a receiver with a pass trough progressive, or better to live all the data processing to the projector. (no noise add trough cheep doubler of the DVD player)

    2) the component RCA in the X1 came out through S-Video adapter.
    - better to use the adapter to connect to the receiver/dvd player or
    - use directly the S-Video output of the receiver/dvd player

PS I still have to buy a DVD player and Receiver ....so I'm looking for this advice

    thanks for the help

Hello, I found that better then S-video is to use Component to VESA adapter ,otherwhise HD and progressive sources are not working on the S-video plugs.
