DBPoweramp - Tagging annoyances

So following the excellent advice in the sticky threads I'm venturing on ripping all my discs to FLAC and MP3 using DBPoweramp.

However, I'm finding that the tags are always showing the same issues;

Names beginning "The":
"The Beatles" always defaults to "Beatles, The" etc

Names with "and", "&" "+" etc are always split into multiple artists.
eg. Adam and The Ants defaults to Adam; The Ants

Am I missing a setting somewhere or do I simply have to change it manually every time?

You mean that is how you see them in explorer or software or your device of choice?

I suspect you're seeing something like this in the folders, but if you open up the properties of a FLAC file and then view the tag you will see that the Album Artist property is correct and thus it should appear correct in a FLAC player.
