Don't buy it. Not even for £6.99. It's absolute crap. I'm watching it now and it's your typical formulaic disaster movie. You'll watch it once, but never again. Unless you want to test your system. I'm forcing myself to watch it at the moment. Hire it, don't buy it. No offence to the guy who started the thread.
i enjoyed the film, thanks for the heads up guysie.
i just got the 2 disc version for 99p
well it was told old xbox games and 99p, also got Troy.
my local games shop has some old ps2 games for £2.99 so i am going to buy 2 and then trade them in with 99p for some more dvds (this offer is at Game btw)
Is that offer at Game still running?
Gotta agree with Rob here.
Terrible film. They obviously spent the budget on effects and got extras to act out the lead roles. Well, I say act.......
oops hush my mouth only thought i would post the thread
You did the right thing, I'm sure there are others that would appreciate to know about this bargain.
My opinion on the film is that it's not as bad as the others make out. It is a bit slow and formulaic but the sfx provide a great system workout, especially for the sub
yep it sure is
i thought it ended on the 23rd Dec?
Day After Tomorrow is now in a triple pack with Independence Day and Volcano (All one disc versions but first two are stil DTS).
On the High Street at £19.99 but will no doubt end up on Play at £14.99 the same as the others or perhaps even cheaper in the sales.
May be worth getting that if you have an interest in either of the other films.
well i got Spider-Man 2 on the 24th
that might just be the dumbasses at my local store tho, its a new store and the people who work there are very very stupid, you could train a monkey to do a better job.
Sounds like the usual Game staff then
Well, I normally hate this kind of movie but enjoyed this!
And the one disc version is 6.99 at WH Smith in the sale too! Got it today!
Apologies mate. Obviously there are people out there that like this film and for £7 it's a bargain. Just the plot and dialogue is appaling. It's paint by numbers if you see what I mean. eg. you have the dysfunctional family, with the workaholic father who's never home. He's never there for the family and the son resents that. Now there's been a disaster and his sons in trouble. He's warned it's too dangerous to go, but he's got to go and save/find his son....he's got to. Can you guess what happens at the end? There really isn't a single redeeming feature about this film. Even the special effects didn't really excite. Sorry, just my opinion.
...yeah, and you probably enjoyed The Matrix series! There's nothing wrong with 'The Day After Tomorrow', in fact I got the 2-disc set for Christmas and very pleased I did as the extras are very impressive.
I'd like to thank everyone who has slagged off this movie - it made me enjoy it even more, your loss is my gain!
I think it's rubbish aswell
Each to their own I guess
I'd find this very hard to watch considering recent world events
I'd argue that's why you should watch it - and the documentary on disc 2 which discusses the science of it all. We should all be doing our part to save our planet, and this is a form of entertainment that sends us that message.
I havnt seen it but a friend of mine said the acting was like watching a porno without the sex.
i enjoyed it, though i love watching the world get destroyed in movies.. have just ordered deep impact from dvdnotsoon as well!
It's bloody cheap too isn't it
I definetily wouldnt buy it! 6.99 isnt a bargain to me it has got to be one of the worst films i have seen!
Incase you want the extra features, CDWow have the 2 Disc Region 2 release available for £8.99
