DVDTimes have posted artwork and final details of Anchor Bay's definitive release of Dawn Of The Dead here: http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=12058

Great looking box and it looks like the fans wishlist of extras has been just about met. I've been waiting for this release since it was announced (when was that? about five years ago? )

Its reasonably priced too at about £17 from dvdpacific and £23 from movietyme.

    Order placed.

I'm very glad the remake isn't on there!

What's the latest on Romero's sequel to Day? Maybe the success of the Dawn remake will pursuade a brave studio to throw $50 Million his way so he can finish off his zombie series in style

Is that a misprint, or is the Extended Version only in mono? Bit of a poor show, if that's correct. :(

I thought the remake was suprisingly good. Definately not up to the original. But it was never gonna be. Can't wait for this box-set. The amount of cash I've spent on this film over the years is unbelievable. £200 odd on the japanese laserdisc box set for a start!

DiamondDead has the best film web-site I've ever seen. Obviously the movie is still in pre-production but the amount of material here is astounding with everything from draft scripts (with comments) up to predicted overseas revenue for the film. It's a fascinating insight into the process of making a film and certainly makes the glossy hype fests of major studio film sites look as shallow as they obviously are.

There are also snippets of info on Dead Reckoning/Land of The Dead from George Romero himself who seems more than patient when it comes to responding to fan questions.

The Extended/Cannes cut is indeed mono, Romero perhaps does not feel that it warrants upmixing to 5.1 or even stereo as it was only a draft cut thrown together for demonstration and does not reflect his final vision of the film as shown in the Theatrical Cut also presented.

Got it the same day as Shaun of the Dead. Looks like the next few days will be zombiriffic.
