    Hi all...

    ive got a sony davs550.

sounds alright with drum and bass when its above 25 on the volume and in prologic 2 mode.

ive noticed that when you have it on 2 channel it doesnt seem to use a proper crossover as the bass is very boomy, but on 5 channel it is tight.

    thats besides the point though..
im trying to use my iriver with it, using a 3.5 to 2 rca jack, and it just isnt anywhere near as loud as playing a cd on it...
its about as loud as putting it on 17 for the volume with a cd.

ive tried both inputs on the back of it. and ive tried using a different device to connect, a panasonic cd player..

whats the problema nd how can i remedy it?

is there some way of boosting the volume via an inbetween source, I.e. a laptop? thats alli have to hand that is portable.

seems to be louder off the cable tv box, maybe it doesnt like the 3.5mm jack
