    Hi,

I'm after some advice on the best cable set up,

My tv allows SCART or Monitor only

    1) I would prefer RGB in DAV going to SCART on TV

Would QED AV29 do the job ?

or 2) perhaps S-Video to SCART

Any suggestions appreciated, brand and model number also !

    Thanks G

    Hi

I would just go scart to scart with a thor or qed lead. depending on your budget.

Get a fully wired scart and enable both your tv and dav system to accept RGB. The upside of this over s-video is pin 21 auto switching. You should receive a very good picture.

    Hi There,

Just a quick pointer. The DAVS550 does not do RGB as there is no scart.

Only options are s-video and component.

I personally use a monster s-video to scart cable and the picture is fine.

    Regards

so what's the best quality wise, s-video to scart or component to component ? I want to make sure I'm making the right choice before splashing on expensive cables ? (sorry for "stealing" your post GWM)

Component to component, presuming your tv can accept a component signal. If not s-video would be your next option.
