What is the complete list then? 3 on Tape and 2 on CD? What books?
So I have Hero in the Shadows, The Swords of Night and Day, Stormrider, Knights of the Dark Renown all on CD. Currently have White Wolf on cassette, soon to be replaced with this White Wolf CD when it arrives.
All in their original cases with covers. A few ex-lib but in good enough condition for me to not bother / doesn’t warrant buying the others off eBay right now.
Still need to find out where these old dated Legend, KBTG, Waylander and Druss the Chaos Warrior recordings came from. I have the .mp3 files I found trawling the web, but cannot find any mention of any physical copies.
Checking worldcat, the library catalogue resource, I can see stuff like Lion of Macedon was produced in an edition for the blind, as was Waylander II, one by Hear a Book, another by the Royal National Society for the Blind. Getting ahead of these I figure would be pretty much impossible, and certainly only as ex lib edition.
Well that is disappointing. Just received my 'Near Fine' Midnight Falcon to find it reeks of damp smell and the page toning they mentioned is actually blotchy damp stains. I don't want this infecting my other books with the smell so this one is going back.
Oh man that would fudge me off no end.
AndyRC, Sorry that didn't work out for you!
Oh it is definitely not your fault in any shape or form, no worries uglydog.
Just out of curiosity - I have came across a big box pc game entitled Legend by Mindscape. Wouldn't have any connection to DG's Legend by any chance?
Ha just seen the autocorrect... fudge haha
There is a spectrum game, Legend, based on David’s book.
This one is by Mindscape and is for the PC but I don't see any mention of DG or any connection to his book. Just wondered.
Ah yeah, no, I remember that one... not remotely DG related.

Could be a bargain,
Wolf in Shadow by David Gemmell (Hardback, 1987) - SIGNED by AUTHOR | eBay
You didn't want it yourself Mr S? I snaffled it so big thanks for the heads up. It will be almost definitely NOT a hardback though, especially with the comment about a couple of spine creases. Maybe I can hack it apart to splice into my unsigned hardback, that's totally okay isn't it? (Joking).
I’ve got a signed first ed hc in mint condition, so I’m good hah. But yes, I suspect paperback, but the ISBN is right, so it could be creases in the dust jacket... seems unlikely, but, 25quids... could be a score. Fingers crossed.
Well thanks again Steven. It won't be quite as big a score as my perfect unsigned which came free thanks to Hermes refunding me then delivering anyway, but maybe it is my lucky book.
Haha who knows, bud. Hopefully, eh?
Unfortunately the seller just contacted me to say that it is a paperback and did I want it still or a refund. Not really a surprise but at least they checked before posting it!
Ah bugger that's a shame. But hey, like you said, least they contacted you so it's not all screwed up. Pity. I'd thought there may be a serious bargain to be had.
Yeah it is better than the damp Midnight Falcon fiasco where I am still awaiting my refund over a week after returning it and several messages later. The seller is in contact at least and it seems like Abe is being slow (apparently).
White legend if anyone needs a copy. Not mint though.
DAVID GEMMELL - LEGEND - 1ST PB 1984 | eBay
Rubus books who has listed the item is a good seller I have used for some of my previous Gemmell purchases. Got my lovely unread White PB Legend from them also back in the day.
This may or may not be of interest to folks... I just did a massive video interview where I talk work, books, etc...

Thanks Steven, I'll take a look later.
My latest acquisition. A Morningstar (among others) sampler. Del Ray so presumably only distributed within the USA
Never seen that before mate, well done!
Yeah that is a find. I can imagine it didn't come too expensive either as Gemmell collectors probably are unaware of it on the whole.
By the way, fair warning, I am gunning for the Signed HB Sword in the Storm that has just come on eBay. Looking to replace my unsigned with spine lean that I bought for <£3.00 that needs excising (cull the spine lean infectors!)
I got the sampler for ~£15 total. The book itself was only £7 or so, meaning the international delivery ended up being more than the book itself!
Good luck with the Sword in the Storm...
Update on New York City. No Gemmell books in The Strand at all, I thought I’d find at least 2 Ross Harding WKBS
But... did you look to see if I was in there? They had a bunch of mine back in Jan.
I bet that never gets old, seeing your own books on shelves around the world.
.... unless they've filed them away a dusty, seldom trodden corner. The temptation to put one in a more prominent position must be strong!
