I've just got hold of a Sony DAV-S888 unit to replace a broken DAV-S550 unit and found that despite checking the speaker connectors with Sony, that the subwoofer has a different connector (the other 5 satellite speakers are the same). It looks like its a 3.5mm Jack plug of some sort. Does anyone know whether I can get an adapter cable to fit between the two types...or can I cut the connector and attach the two speaker cables to a new jack plug. Does anyone have any experience of this problem. I'm not experienced in this and could do with some advice as to the best approach.
