Why are a lot of tv/movie indoor scenes shown in dark shadowy areas, is this to save the movie makers money in electricity for lighting?
Even certain tv/movies on outdoor scenes are deliberately darkened when the sun is clearly bright.
Is this a new fashion trend or is it me being pernickety? The amount of tv/movies I have switched after 10 mins off cos it's All in the shadows is increasing.
BTW its not my TV which is new oled, normal TV is fine, Frozen Planet is brilliant.

See is a real hard one to see whats going on even on my 65-inch XH95 TV LOL I am viewing season 3 at the mo.

Most eps of See I have the room lights turned off and curtains drawn, just bias lights on. Works well.
