Question Dark patches on tv

Any idea on whats faulty tv was just out warranty when i started noticing on lighter scenes its a toshiba 4k led. Is it something built in the layers etc not a tv Pro but if i can fix id give it a go eventually as its bugging me

don't know but at least its only a cheap TV I would get a better make next time also one with a 5 year warranty.

Looks a bit like image retention/burn but whatever it is looks like a faulty panel and it would cost more to replace then to buy a good new set. As tvdavid recommends look at a good brand and buy from somewhere like Richer Sounds or JL who offer 6 and 5 year warranties respectively.
