Dark knight rises release date changed??

I went online to check advance booking dates for TDKR last week, but had to wait til now to find out when all my friends were available.

At the time it was showing a release date for Manchester cinemas - July 19th.

Now today when I go to actually book the tickets the earliest I can book is 20th. It's not showing 19th as sold out, the 19th has simply disappeared.
Nevermind TDKR - more a case of ***??

I know an Imax showing in the US broke down, but should that affect all showings? Anyone shed any light on this mystery?

Are you sure it was the 19th, some places have showing on the 17th - as special preview. Maybe they're sold out the preview or even lost the right to show a preview.

It's possible, but if they've lost the right, then they've lost it as a city, as every cinema was showing it starting 19th last week but now it's 20th. Of course they could have been previews, but even though I know it's a massive movie, to completely sell out everywhere??

Warner Brothers pulled the rights for any UK cinema to show the film before the states. You may have found a 11:50pm showing or something like that.

The new times will start from 5am on Friday 20th.

I'm pretty sure I didn't misremember checking 4 or 5 different cinemas. They've clearly been pulled since. I remember being surprised at the time as I went on there to book the 20th.
