Directors cut by a mile as it adds more emotional depth to the storyline and the fight scenes now have some realism and more grittiness instead of being watered down for the pg-13 certificate, a true directors cut which adds so much substance to the film.

I think if they had released the directors cut as the normal version in the cinema i think that it would have been a much bigger hit

Just picked the Directors Cut as it said it added an other villain and got it with Still Game for £9.99 in BOGOF sale. I quickly looked through the film and to the titles to see if the other villain was a major one out of the comics and saw no after credit scene with Bullseye. Has this been cut from the film or is it pre credits now?

As far as I remember, it wasn't adding a villain, rather the Coolio court case which helps flesh the movie out somewhat. I'm more intrigued if the Elektra DC is going to be superior or not (although, I can't see it being worse).

I thought this film was awful, and so was Elektra.

DD was gritty enough yes, but it just didn't work for me, I thought the story was a tad poor, it did have the Elektra death (which I thought was well played), but the rest of it was drivel, poor script, performances and dialogue.

Even the action didn't save it in my eyes, the comic and cartoon representations of DD are MUCH better.
